[activecampaign form=1]I’d like to introduce to you SBT Seabuckthorn’s new therapeutic shampoo line!
If you read my last SBT Seabuckthorn Eczema Soothing Salve review, I now have a new one for you! 🙂
They recently introduced 4 new shampoos to the market. The wonderful thing? They are all naturally preserved and are SLS, DEA and Paraben free.
All four shampoos are scented with 100% natural essential oils that work with SBT Seabuckthorn Oils to nourish and protect the scalp and hair. It also contains Vitamin B5 to assist with hair growth!
The one I was given to try was the Seabuckthorn Lavender Shampoo (and one lucky winner has won this!).
The one thing I liked about this shampoo was that, unlike some other shampoos I have tried in the past, this one actually foamed. It’s one of the rare naturally shampoos I’ve used that foam.
I got in contact with SBT Seabuckthorn to find out why (as I know most conventional shampoos foam due to the Sodium Laurel Sulphate in it). They mentioned that the reason why this shampoo foams is due to the foaming agent, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate.
Sodium cocoamphoacetate is an organic compound derived from coconut oil. According to studies, it is nonmutagenic, and at a concentration of 10%, it is neither an irritant nor sensitizer.
Sodium Cocoamphoacetate is often used in makeup removers and products designed for use on people with sensitive skin, children and babies because of its mild and non-irritating properties. It his rated on the Skin Deep database as 0, while Whole Foods allows it in products for their premium personal care standards (which gave me some relief).
The other thing I noticed was that the first ingredient in the shampoo is de-ionized water. What’s the difference between using regular water and de-ionized water, you might ask?
De-ionized water is a type of deeply demineralized, ultrapure water which is better for your eczema. In order to obtain the high quality pure deionized water, a multi-stage water purification process can be used. SBT Seabuckthorn told me that deionized water goes through a process to remove any impurities and trace contaminants.
If they were to use regular tap water, they would have no control over any impurities in the water which would degrade the product and allow for the opportunity for microbial growth.
It’s great to know that SBT Seabuckthorn really takes care of their making their products for eczema with the highest quality possible. The product foams nice and smells nice too!
The SBT Seabuckthorn Lavender Shampoo also contains lavender essential oil to promote health growth and prevent hair loss by increasing blood circulation to the scalp. SBT Seabuckthorn Oils, along with other nourishing botanicals also help lock in color by strengthening the hair and by supplying valuable nutrients to the scalp and hair. You can buy this product in health food stores or on their website.
THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.
Thank you to all who entered!
